Louisiana Swamp

Posted by Mark Moskvitch from Australia

The swamps of Louisiana are filled with trees covered with this curious plant.

Spanish Moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is an epiphyte (air plant).

It lends a rather spooky feel to the swamps, much exploited when such places are used in movies.
