FOXTEL AUSTAR

King Arthur is the greatest of British literary heroes. But are the tales of his heroism more myth than legend?

King Arthur is the greatest of British literary heroes, celebrated by poets and writers for over a thousand years. From the twelfth century to the twentieth, his exploits have been celebrated in prose, verse, film, video games and comics. But is the story of King Arthur true? Legend describes him as a gallant and noble warrior. With the guidance of Merlin the magician, he leads the people of England to victory and freedom. He marries a beautiful and elegant Cornish woman name Guinevere and together, they rule from Camelot. But war continues for the young Arthur and he is forced to establish his knights of the round table, men willing to fight for Britain's independence. Are these tales merely myth or is there some substance to the legend?
