June 2010 marked the centenary of the birth of legendary underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau. This program juxtaposes historical footage from Cousteau’s earliest exploration of the Mediterranean Sea with that filmed by Enric Sala and Pierre-Yves Cousteau. It reveals the Mediterranean as it has never been seen before: stunning dive locations and magnificent sea life. The journey sets out to assess the health of the Mediterranean, an incredible journey back in time of a Sea that once served the ancient cities of Egypt, Greece and Rome.
